Brand Photography for York Bakery C&S Sourdough
C&S Sourdough, Tower Street York
I first sampled Paul Cosgriff’s fine dining expertise when he was head Chef at The Bow Room in Gray’s Court, York. Needless to say the 7 course tasting menu was unbelievably good and his attention to detail was outstanding. When I first heard that Paul was branching out on his own to open a bakery specialising in ‘everything sourdough’ I knew it would be something special.
Cosgriff and Sons is very much a family business, the bakery in York, opposite Cliffords Tower, is widely known for its artisanal sourdough bread, pastries, coffee and epic sandwiches all baked fresh from Thursday to Sunday. Paul works through the night and into the day to make sure everything is of the highest standard, I really don’t know how he does it!
Earlier in the year I was asked to spend a morning at the bakery, making brand storytelling photographs, documenting a sense of place, the welcoming community spirit, connections, warmth, and true artisanal craftsmanship. Here are a selection of photographs from the session.
If you haven’t visited C&S Sourdough yet, let this be your invitation! Visit 14 Tower Street, York - Thursday to Sunday from 7am until sold out!
