Chatsworth House Photography, Derbyshire.

A Wedding Anniversary celebration for Lauren and Chris

Lauren and Chris’ grand plans to England from Florida USA included a day trip to Chatsworth House on the Pullman from London and I was thrilled to be asked to join them at this incredible location for a photography session. Lauren had planned this trip down to a T, being a Travel Agent herself, every fine detail had been planned for months in advance, her devotion to all things Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice the inspiration. I hadn’t been to Chatsworth House since I was a child so I planned a visit ahead of the photography session to have a good look around the house and gardens.

Chatsworth is home to the Devonshire family and has been passed down through 17 generations. There are over 25 rooms to discover in the home, including the Painted Hall, State Rooms and Sculpture Gallery and it is a very well known centre for creativity featuring art and artefacts that span 4,000 years. The light in the home is incredible, the impressive arched windows allowing the light to stream in, the incredible grand staircases and rich painted rooms filled with textures, lavish furnishings and opulent details.

Chatsworth Garden is just as spectacular, the 105-acre garden is the product of nearly 500 years of careful cultivation and includes an arboretum, meticulously designed flower beds, fountains, sculptures and so many more features to mention, I couldn’t wait for Lauren and Chris’ to experience this all for themselves.

Here are a few of the photographs from this very special session which was such a pleasure to capture.
