Why I’m fascinated by the family landscape

Show me the landscape of your lives.

During my time as a family photographer I’ve become quite fascinated by the interior landscape, family homes filled with the warmth and character that reflect the lives of those who live there. Family photographs displayed on the piano, art projects blu-tac’d to the walls, trinkets, textures, and family heirlooms arranged in displays offer such a rich understanding of each family story.

Kitchens are a hive of activity, adorned with reminders of daily life—grocery lists, plans, certificates, and mugs that tell the story of each family member. The family landscape is one of history, love, and the everyday moments that make up life in the UK, where every room has a story and feels uniquely like home.

I love the beautiful backdrop this presents and how it becomes part of each family story. This is why I always include the ‘family landscape’ as I see it, to preserve it for the next phase, whatever and wherever that might be.

Here’s just a few of the family landscapes I’ve had the pleasure to take in.

Relaxed, unposed photography for laid back families.

I’m passionate about telling thoughtful stories full of warmth and personality. I believe that family is everything and always strive to make real photographs that matter.

Let’s capture the time of your life.
