50th Wedding Anniversary Photography, Sheffield

When a family get-together (from far and wide), special moments are made.

I remember this day so clearly, when I arrived at the family home it was pouring down with rain, mid July - the English summer not quite gracing us with it’s presence! After a few quick introductions, a cup of tea, and the final preparations were made, we all walked to a local restaurant where all the family would meet. So many lovely memories were made, catching up, playing ‘The Price is right’ and showcasing impressive rubix cube skills - I still don’t know how to solve those (without taking all the stickers off!)

We all walked back home for tea and cake (the best gluten free cake I’ve ever tasted) in the rain, which all added to the fun of the day. There were balloons, games and a giant connect 4 to keep the little ones entertained while the adults looked through wedding photographs and cards, treasured from 50 years ago!

It was such an honour to witness and document this family coming together for such a special occasion. Here’s a few of my favourite photographs from the day…

“I hired Nic for mum and dad's 50th wedding anniversary, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results! I wanted a documentary-style family photographer who could authentically capture moments of the day that were not posed or formal, and that’s exactly what Nic did.

Nic has a lovely personality and she fit in so well with our group on the day. She documented intimate conversations, heartfelt moments, group conversations, and laughter. The children were comfortable around Nic and their silly personalities shine through in her images.

Nic pays attention to the smallest details and is professional, kind, relaxed, and so talented. The slideshow and online gallery that she delivered to us are stunning. I can’t recommend Nic highly enough and will definitely be hiring her again in the future!”

An Album to treasure

I love nothing more than to create something unique and special for clients and was thrilled to design and produce an album from this event photography session. Seeing photographs in print is my absolute joy and I hope that these photographs will be out on display in another 50 years for all the family to see!
